The 10-episode limited series DAHMER — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story — which debuted on Netflix today, is the first web series about Dahmer's life to give voice to his victims. The series is directed by Ryan Murphy.
About Dahmer, a lot of movies and documentaries have been made, such as the soon-to-be Netflix original film Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes.
Murphy and his group, which includes co-writer Janet Mock and co-director Carl Franklin, will depict the Milwaukee Monster from the victims' points of view in DAHMER.
Based on true events but fictionalized, the six-part series Dahmer on Dahmer will explore institutional failure, white privilege, homophobia, and systemic racism that enabled Dahmer to murder and dismember 17 people between 1978 and 1991. Dahmer's victims were mostly young people and people of color.
After Dahmer's crimes were disclosed to the authorities, at least five of his victims were killed.
